MyKey is a motor vehicle security system designed by the Ford Motor Company that allows the controlled use of a car with a configurable key. You can program the Ford MyKey restrictions to all keys but one. Any keys that you did not program are administrator keys or admin keys.
With MyKey Admin, you can use to:
  1. Create a MyKey with certain vehicle restrictions.
  2. Program certain MyKey settings.
  3. Reset MyKey restrictions.
After you program a MyKey, you can view the following information through the information display:
  1. The total number of admin keys and MyKeys for your vehicle.
  2. The total distance a MyKey driver traveled with your vehicle.
Every MyKey receives the same restrictions and settings. You cannot program them individually.
For vehicles equipped with a push-button start switch: When both a MyKey and an admin key are present when you start your vehicle, the system recognizes the admin key only.
